At Winhills, we strive to give all children equal opportunities to compete in a range of sports. We work in partnership with local schools to arrange competitions and events for children of all abilities. We run events named 'rising stars' which target children who are less confident in sport, less active and who have SEN/ emotional needs. We also run Greater Depth events to challenge children in their abilities. In addition to this, we also work in partnership with Hunts School Sports Partnership (Hunts SSP) to attend competitive and non-competitive events (festivals) including Panathlons for SEND children.
Last year (2022-23), we organised and ran our first swimming gala. This was a huge success and something we are going to continue to try and run every year.
