Welcome from the Headteacher

I am delighted to welcome you to Winhills Primary Academy. My name is Mrs Besant, and I am proud to be the Executive Headteacher of both Winhills and Middlefield Primary Academies.

At Winhills, our vision is “To be the best we can be.” This underpins everything we do, inspiring both staff and children to strive for excellence. Our classes are named after inspirational people who embody these values, reminding us daily of the potential within each child to make a difference.

We are proud of our spacious and varied school grounds, which provide children with wonderful opportunities to learn, play and explore in a safe and stimulating environment. Most importantly, we have a team of dedicated and caring staff who work tirelessly to ensure that every child feels valued, supported and able to achieve their very best.

As a community, we aim for all our children to be ready, respectful and safe, so that every child can flourish both academically and personally.
