Autumn Term
Week Ending 05/09
What a lovely start to the year we have had! The children have been creating a class snake display, starting to learn the 3 times table and have told me all about the summer fun they have had.
Week Ending 12/09
This week we have been very busy! We have been working on place value in Maths and reading “On the way home” in English. The children have made a Stone Age menu in History and have started to learn about the human skeleton in Science.
Week Ending 19/09
Wow! Another busy week in Nightingale. The children have done some amazing prehistoric art work and designed a Stone Age home. During PE we were working on fitness and in Maths we have been adding 1, 10 and 100.
In English we have been using adjectives to start sentences to make our writing more interesting.
Week Ending 26/09
The children have worked so hard this week. They have been placing numbers in order up to 1000 in Maths and writing a new adventure for Claire in English. They have made their own paint out of natural materials in Art and have been working on shooting in netball.
Week Ending 10/10/25
Another busy week in Nightingale Class! The children have made handprints on the "cave wall" with Mrs Lee and have been looking at balanced diets in Science. We have been working on using methods for adding and subtracting in Maths and the class have enjoyed using the Maths equipment to help them.
Week Ending 24/10/25
The children have worked so hard in the last two weeks, we have been using column method for both addition and subtraction. We have written our Stone Age instructions and this week we have been looking at autumn Haikus.
