Spring Term
Class Updates
Week Ending 16/01/2026
What a busy two weeks it has been! The children have been amazing getting stuck back in to learning. We have a new English unit based on The Worst Witch by Jill Murphy. In Maths we are looking at multiplying a two-digit number by a one-digit number. We have started to think about what life might have been like in Ancient Egypt.
Week Ending 30/01/26
We have had a lovely two weeks with all the excitement that History off the page brings! It was great to see the children so engaged with all the hands-on activities in the morning and then enjoying the Egyptian festivities in the afternoon. This week we have been looking more closely at the Egyptian Gods and Goddesses. In Maths we have moved on to measuring in different units and in English we are looking at non-chronological reports. We also had an interesting science lesson all about fossilisation.
Week Ending 13/02/2026
The class have been really busy this week with writing our Egyptian reports and making papyrus paper. The children are really enjoying working with perimeter in maths and they are getting really good with the French numbers 1-12. In Science, we have been investigating rocks and soil which was rather messy!
