Week Ending: 10.01.25
First week back into the new year and it has been amazing. The children have been learning all about Owls after reading ‘Owl Babies’ by Martin Waddell. As a class we have designed some habitats perfect for owls. Learnt about nocturnal and diurnal animals. We have also looked at animals that hibernate.
One of the owl inspired activities was to make a collage owl. The children had to tear and glue brown paper onto an outline of an owl to give an effect of feathers. Then they used scissors to cut out a beak and used a pen to draw some eyes on. The results were really effective.
Throughout the week, the children were representing numbers 0 to 5 in multiple different ways.
