Autumn 2021
This term in Year 6, we have lots of exciting things to learn! Our topic this term is going to be on the Ancient Greeks, where we will find out more about the history and geography of the Greeks. We will be looking at everything from Greek food and drink, to myths, Gods and Goddesses, and life style.
Our English lessons will also be inspired by the Greeks as we use the text "The Adventures of Odysseus" as part our reading and writing sessions.
In Maths, we will be working on our place value skills, and refining our mental and written methods for all four operations.
In Science, we will be looking Living Things and their Habitats, with a focus on classification, before investigating microbes.
We will be playing cricket in PE, creating a number of different pieces of art and DT (including Medusa inspired chalk drawings), and learning French with Mrs Street.
