Welcome

School Vision

To be the best that we can be!

School Aim

To enable every child to reach their potential in an environment that fosters learning, respect, responsibility, laughter and friendship.

Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome to Winhills Primary Academy! We hope that our website provides you with a wealth of important and useful information about our school and demonstrates our vision and values:

That every child should have the opportunity to Be the Best that they can be!

A little bit of history: Winhills Primary School has been in existence since 1969; the same year as the moon landings and the launch of the 50p coin.

We are very lucky here at Winhills, we have a huge amount of learning space, both inside and outside including: 13 classrooms, a Nursery, 2 halls and our amazing grounds which the children particularly enjoy!

We understand that choosing a school for your child is a very important decision and one many of us at Winhills have had to make for our own families. We feel privileged that you have trusted us with your child's future learning and development. We believe that you know your child the best and we are very keen to work together with you to help your child to enjoy and flourish and be the very best learner they can.

At Winhills Primary Academy we work hard to create the very best place of learning we can, where your child learns to read, write and be numerate. During your child's time here, we aim to help your child learn more about him or herself; what their talents are, what they find challenging, and how to celebrate and develop both. We want your children to believe in themselves and be able to leave Winhills with the tools they need to be what they want to be.

To achieve these things we need your help. We want to work in partnership with our parents; learning from you the key information which will help us to settle your child into learning at Winhills Primary Academy. We want to know what your child enjoys learning about, what they find more challenging, if they can speak more than one language and what they are proud of. We also want to hear if you have any worries or concerns you have about school life; if there is ever something you are worried about, please talk to us about it. We will always make time to speak with you, on the playground or in school.

All of the team at Winhills Primary Academy look forward to working with you and your family to give your child the best possible start to their education.

Best wishes

Mrs Harradine and the Winhills Primary Academy Team

Headteacher

Welcome From The CEO!

I am the Executive Headteacher for Winhills Primary Academy, Middlefield Primary Academy, The Round House Primary Academy, Kimbolton Primary Academy and Great Staughton Primary Academy.

I am very proud of this school and the improvements that have taken place since Winhills became part of The Diamond Learning Partnership Trust.

I believe that children learn at different rates and in different ways. Parental support and involvement is essential for successful learning in a happy secure atmosphere. Children like to know that they are accepted for who they are and not for what they can achieve and I firmly believe we must PRAISE THEIR EFFORTS, NOT THEIR RESULTS!

Winhills Primary Academy is a rapidly improving school where we are ensuring we do the best for the children in our care. I hope that you will join with us to move this school to the outstanding school I know it can be.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to leave comments in the Guestbook, or contact the school with any queries you may have.

Thank you for visiting,
